# WG PAID / MGTS — R20E R05 controlled runtime test salvage and finalization R20E R04 found the production system already restored to `NORMAL` with a new active generation, but its oracle captured `pre-success` after that recovery and compared the active generation with itself. R20E R05 is read-only. It starts no retry, installs no managed source, stops no service and creates no new snapshot. It reuses R01 evidence for injected provider failure, retry-before-due and concurrent retry suppression. It proves the already completed successful retry from the latest PASS attempt `result.kv`, requiring `previous_generation_id != new_generation_id`, the active link and durable state to equal `new_generation_id`, PASS build/validate/activate logs, a valid activation transaction with rollback artifact, `NORMAL`, three consecutive five-slot health samples, routes/rules, endpoint consistency, Direct disabled, durable state/quarantine mirrors, PASS retry log and PASS durable event in `/etc/router-egress-recovery/events.tsv`. Expected result: `PASS_R20E_CONTROLLED_DEGRADED_POOL_RUNTIME_TEST_R05`. Reboot durability and intentional LOCAL_REPAIR remain separate tests.
